Two enduro trails that run through the mountains bordering the Sacred Valley of the Incas. You will encounter different obstacles while going downhill, curves and grades are the main ingredients of this tour.
In ancient times, the Incas built more than thousands of kilometers of roads. Today, we know that these stretches are still in force. However, in Cusco - Chinchero we have the route DH La Máxima, where we will see puddles, rivers, trails and paths. This will make our adventure unique.
Explorinka staff will be passing by your hotel around 7:30 in the morning with the equipment ready. We will head towards the town of Chinchero at an altitude of 3762 meters above sea level, this small town is mainly characterized by the manufacture of fabrics made of alpaca wool, we will have the opportunity to see the exhibition of the villagers' own weaving. We will continue by a road that will take us to the starting point, we will drive for 30 minutes more.
Already at the top of the mountain you will have a spectacular view of the Urubamba mountain range, we will observe the snow-capped mountains of Chicon and Sawasiray as the main protagonists of these extraordinary landscapes of the Peruvian Andes. After the safety talk given by our guide, we will start our descent towards the Urquillos Valley, the trail offers us a little bit of everything, sections with a lot of fluidity to give freedom to our wild spirit. We will also find in the final part, curves with some steep grades and very fast straights. The terrain becomes loose, with fun switchbacks and natural camber.
We finish in the village of Urquillos, our mobility will be waiting for us with the boxlunchs, we will take the opportunity to rest our legs and we will go back up to the next circuit.
The second trail will begin near the town of Chinchero, we will be able to appreciate the wonder of the Sacred Valley in all its splendor. We will be in a perfect spot to record our adventure with photographs. We will descend through a canyon to the south of Urubamba, through Eucalyptus forests, walking along Inca stairs and loose sections with stones along the way. In summary, the circuit is very fluid but has its technical obstacles that add spice to our descent.
We will arrive back to the town of Urquillos after a good bike ride. We will toast our adventure with a few beers and then return to the city of Cusco, culminating our service with the transfer to your hotel.
