You will ride on flowing trails, Inca stairways, queñua forests, and ancient paths, surrounded by snow-capped mountains and Andean life. You will also enjoy a well-deserved rest day in Cusco before tackling the final trails, such as El Radar and Enduro Cusco. This journey is designed for mountain biking enthusiasts looking for challenges and adventure in the heart of Peru.
08:00 We will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel in the Sacred Valley. After settling in, our team will help you assemble your bike (if you brought your own) and provide a brief safety talk about the trails ahead.
Around 15:00, after lunch, we will head to our first trail, Maras Clásico, which will help us acclimate. We will ascend a mountain called Sacro, our starting point. After putting on our protective gear and performing a final bike check, we will begin our ride.
The trail starts with a rocky descent with some loose soil. The first section features fun ramps that are easy to jump. We will pass by the Salt Mines, where our guide will share some historical insights. Finally, we will reach the Pichingoto community, cross the Vilcanota River, and our vehicle will be waiting to take us to our hotel in Urubamba.
Overnight in Urubamba.
After having breakfast around 9:30 AM, we will head up to the Lares pass. Here, we will have the opportunity to descend a loose dirt wall, similar to Freeride (you can avoid it by using an alternative trail). After the "wall," the route turns into a smooth singletrack with some technical sections. We will cross a canyon alongside a river, rolling over steps and passing by an old cemetery near the end of the circuit. While descending, we may encounter Andean animals such as llamas and alpacas. We will finish at the community of Totora, where we will take a break and enjoy our box lunch.
Next, we will head to the Ancasamarca archaeological site, located 30 minutes by car from Totora. We will begin the circuit with a section of steps between Inca structures. The trail is smooth and technical after the steps, leading us into a Queuña forest (a tree native to Peru), where we will encounter tight curves that require more concentration and some moderate descents, making the experience even more fun. We will end in the town of Calca after an exciting day of downhill.
Overnight in Urubamba.
The Explorinka staff will pick you up from your hotel around 7:30 AM with all the equipment ready. We will head to the village of Chinchero, located at 3,762 meters above sea level. This small village is known for its alpaca wool textiles, and we will have the opportunity to witness a weaving demonstration by the locals. Afterward, we will continue along a road that will take us to the starting point, driving for another 30 minutes.
At the top of the mountain, we will enjoy a spectacular view of the Urubamba mountain range, with the snow-capped peaks of Chicon and Sawasiray as the main features of these extraordinary Andean landscapes. After a safety briefing from our guide, we will begin the descent towards the Urquillos Valley.
The trail offers a bit of everything: smooth sections that allow for speed, curves with some steps, and fast straightaways. Toward the end, the terrain becomes looser, with berms and natural turns that add excitement to the ride.
We will finish in the village of Urquillos, where our transport will be waiting with box lunches to give us a chance to rest our legs before continuing to the next circuit.
Overnight in Urubamba.
We will begin the tour early in the morning, picking you up directly from your hotel. We will head to Aguas Calientes, where we will board the bus for a comfortable 30-minute ride that will take us to the entrance of Machu Picchu.
Upon arrival, everything will be perfectly organized for you to enjoy an unforgettable experience. Accompanied by a professional guide, you will explore one of the most iconic destinations in South America. For about 2 hours, you will tour the majestic Inca citadel, admiring its natural surroundings, impressive architecture, and learning about the fascinating culture that built it.
After the guided tour, we will enjoy a delicious lunch and explore the charming town of Aguas Calientes. In the afternoon, we will board the train back to Ollantaytambo, where we will be waiting to transfer you by bus back to your hotel in Cusco.
This day will be used to rest after intense days on the bike. You can take the opportunity to visit the city or enjoy some relaxation time at your hotel.

The day begins at 4:30 AM. Our transport will pick you up from your hotel and take us to the community of Pitumarca, where we will have breakfast. Then, we will continue to the starting point in Chilca, where we will have a brief informational talk with the guide. Afterward, we will begin the bike trail, cycling for almost an hour.
At the base of the Jampa Pass, there will be sections where you can continue cycling. The ascent to the Jampa Pass takes about 2 more hours. While ascending, we will have a close-up view of the snow-capped Callangate. We will also pass very close to alpaca and llama breeding areas; if we are lucky, we might even see vicuñas in the wild. Upon reaching the Jampa Pass (5100 meters above sea level), we will be greeted by a two-hour downhill bike ride along a super-smooth trail.
During the descent, we will pass through the seven turquoise lagoons of the Ausangate Glacier. We will make brief stops to rest and capture great photos. The Ausangate Glacier will be very close, and the scenery is indescribable: the combination of the lagoons surrounded by snow-capped peaks creates an incredible contrast. We will finish at the community of Pajchanta, where cold beers and a relaxing bath in the hot springs will await us to rest our bodies.
Overnight in a cabin in Ausangate.
In the morning, after breakfast, we will load our bikes and head to the Cuyuni pass, located 1 hour from Pajchanta at 4195 meters above sea level. We will take a detour along a road to reach the radar, which is used for air traffic control. The radar will be our starting point for the descent into the Andahuaylillas valley.
The guide will give a short talk about the trail and the safety measures we will need for the descent. As we ride, we will encounter smooth sections where you can experience high speeds, as well as small steps and curves with natural berms. The landscape is majestic, and in the distance, we will see the snow-capped Ausangate, vast agricultural fields, and the typical mud houses.
Finally, we will arrive at the town of Urcos, where we will have lunch and celebrate with some cold beers. Afterward, we will return to Cusco, concluding our service.
Overnight in Cusco.
To start our day, we will pick you up from your hotel at 8:30 AM and drive to the Ocoruro pass, located south of Cusco, where our biking adventure begins. We will ride along a ridge, navigating the mountain while dodging stone obstacles and handcrafted steps. After approximately 2 hours on the bike, we will reach the end of the circuit, where our transport will be waiting to take us to the next trail.
For the second trail, we will drive to the Corao pass for 45 minutes, the starting point for our downhill ride. After preparing, we will ride through the first section of stairs with a considerable incline, reach the village of Yunkaypata, and pedal until we reach the tree section (a vertical with roots and loose terrain). In this circuit, we will encounter verticals and some medium-sized ramps that you can either take or avoid, as well as bermed curves ready for use.
