Discover Cusco and Machu Picchu in 5 days filled with adventure and culture. Explore archaeological sites by bike, descend from the Andes into the jungle, and visit the breathtaking sanctuary of Machu Picchu, experiencing unique landscapes and unforgettable moments.
Cusco is a city full of history waiting to be discovered. On this adventure, we will visit four of the most important archaeological sites around Cusco by bike.
Our transportation will pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel in Cusco. Once settled in, we will pick you up from your hotel and start the city bike tour. At 2:00 PM, we will drive to the archaeological site of Saqsayhuaman for a brief 30-minute visit. Next, we’ll hop on our bikes and ride for 45 minutes to reach the next park, Tambomachay. This site was a resting place dedicated to the worship of water.
Then, we will visit Puca Pucara, which might have been a military watchtower for those visiting Tambomachay or passing through en route to other nearby destinations. After visiting Puca Pucara, we will get back into our vehicle and head to Q’enqo, the last archaeological site of the tour.
Finally, we’ll transfer you back to your hotel in Cusco by 6:00 PM.

We will pick you up from your hotel at 5:00 AM and drive through the Sacred Valley, passing Urubamba and Ollantaytambo. Breakfast will be served in Ollantaytambo, after which we’ll ascend through the Patacancha Valley.
After a 2-hour and 40-minute drive, we’ll reach the Yanamayo pass at 4,300 MASL. From there, we’ll begin descending along a road surrounded by Andean mountain vegetation. As we descend, the ecosystem will gradually shift from Andean highlands to cloud forest, where you’ll see fruit trees like bananas, oranges, coffee, and cacao. The descent ends in Ocobamba, where we will enjoy a 1-hour lunch. We’ll then continue by car to Quillabamba.

We’ll start the day at 8:00 AM with a delicious coffee breakfast. Afterward, we’ll drive for 45 minutes to Cochapampa. Here, we’ll prepare our bikes to begin the tour along a road through the Quillabamba jungle. Our guide will make stops along the way to sample fruit and explore coffee plantations. If it’s the right season, we’ll also see coca fields.
We’ll arrive at Santa Teresa and have lunch in a cabin for about an hour. Afterward, we’ll continue biking to the Cocalmayo hot springs, where you can relax in the warm waters beside the Vilcanota River. We’ll stay overnight in Santa Teresa.

On the third day of our adventure, we will start at 8:00 a.m. with breakfast in Santa Teresa. Around 9:00 a.m., our vehicle will take us to the hydroelectric station (the starting point of the hike to Aguas Calientes), driving approximately 45 minutes along the mountain's edge. Once at the hydroelectric station, we will prepare to walk along a trail for approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes until we reach the town of Aguas Calientes.
Upon arriving in Aguas Calientes at 1:00 p.m., our guide will take you to a restaurant for lunch. At 2:20 p.m., we will head to the bus station to ascend the mountain, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the mountains framed by the majestic Vilcanota River. Upon reaching the top, we will register and present our tickets to enter Machu Picchu.
As you explore its enigmatic streets, our guide will share fascinating stories about the history of Machu Picchu. There will be opportunities to take plenty of photos and capture memories of our incredible adventure at this wonder of the world. After a two-hour visit, we will return by bus to Aguas Calientes, where we will wait for our train to Cusco at 6:20 p.m. Our vehicle will be waiting to take you to your hotel, concluding our tour.
