Lares is one of the most popular enduro trails in the Cusco region and one of the most fun for its characteristics. Now you can reach the top of the Lares pass by electric bike.
We will start our tour by picking you up from your hotel in Cusco, we will drive towards the sacred valley until we reach the town of Calca. We will continue by car for a 1 hour drive until we arrive to Lares, where we will start our biking adventure.
The guide will provide you with your safety gear and a brief instruction about the trail and the use of the bike. The first section of the trail is asphalt allowing you to forget about obstacles and enjoy more of the scenery. We will climb approximately 13 kilometers through a road, taking advantage of the spectacular scenery, we will make stops to take some pictures and rest a little.
After approximately 2 hours we will arrive at the pass of Lares located at 4400 meters above sea level where we will begin our descent. This second section is single-truck type, in which you will find sections of stone, stairs and water channels. We will descend approximately 15 km, among alpaca and llama grazing areas. The landscapes are amazing from this side of the pass, we will make stops in strategic places where we will find vestiges of pre-Inca tombs.
Finally we will arrive to the town of Calca where our transportation will be waiting for us to take us to our hotel in the city of Cusco.
