The best of enduro in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Embark on a unique adventure through breathtaking Andean landscapes on our MTB tour in Patacancha and Pumamarca. You will explore ancient Inca trails and immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of the region.
To start our great day of enduro, our team will pick you up from your hotel at 7:00 am, we will have ready, the bikes and protective equipment in our mobility. We will drive to the Yanamayo pass at 4300 meters above sea level, passing through the heights of the Sacred Valley and the town of Ollantaytambo before arriving at our destination. After a 2 hour drive, our guide will give us a safety briefing before we get on our bikes.
Once ready, we will start descending through the Patacancha valley, there are several lines that you can choose, however, consider following the guide, as he will take you through the best option. The terrain is not very rugged, on the contrary, it motivates you to let go of the brakes and flow freely. We will descend to the community of Patacancha, in this town we will take the opportunity to taste the Andean food, the villagers dressed in their typical clothes will give us some of their food, we will take the opportunity to rest a little and consume our box lunch.
After our experience in Patacancha we will continue descending through small cuts in the road until we reach the village of Willoq. In this place we will load the bikes to the car and we will have as destination the archaeological center of Pumamarca. If we have time and want to visit the site we will have 30 minutes to walk around Pumamarca. We will get the bicycles ready and descend through the valley of Ollantaytambo, crossing extensive Andean terraces, bordering the mountain, enjoying the sunset towards the town of Ollantaytambo. We will cross the ancient streets with Inca infrastructure preserved today. Our mobility will be waiting in the square with cold beers to celebrate our cycling day. At the end of the day we will transfer you to your hotel.
