  • We will walk alongside the Vilcanota River, following its waters until we reach Machu Picchu once again.

Itinerary

Day 1

Welcome to Cusco and Briefing

Our team will be waiting for you at the airport to transfer you to your hotel in Cusco. In the evening, we will have a briefing and hand out the welcome kits.

Day 2

Cusco City Tour by Bike

We will ride by bike from the town of Salkantay, located 45 minutes away by car, passing through the archaeological sites of Saqsayhuaman and Tambomachay. Then, we will descend toward the southern part of Cusco to enjoy lunch at El Mariscal cevichería, where we will taste delicious Peruvian ceviche. Afterward, we will be transferred to Urubamba, in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where we will spend the night.

Day 3

Abra Yanamayo to Ocobamba and Quillabamba

Early in the morning, after breakfast, our vehicle will take us to Abra Yanamayo, passing through Ollantaytambo. From there, we will descend by bike from the Andes into the cloud forest, riding approximately 70 kilometers. We will have lunch in Ocobamba and continue by car until we reach Quillabamba, where we will spend the night in a beautiful lodge.

Day 4

Abra Yanay – Santa Teresa

On this day, we will enjoy a coffee presentation, where we will learn about the different varieties and production processes. We will ride through the jungle of Quillabamba, passing fruit trees and coffee and cacao plantations. We will visit Yanay Waterfall and continue our route to Mandor. Then, we will continue by car to Santa Teresa, where we will have lunch. At night, we will relax in the thermal pools of Cocalmayo. We will rest in Santa Teresa.

Day 5

Hike from Hidroelectrica and Visit to Machu Picchu

In the morning, we will depart by car toward the starting point of our hike: Hidroelectrica. We will walk approximately 9 kilometers until we reach Aguas Calientes. After lunch, our guide will take you to the bus station to go up to Machu Picchu, where we will enjoy a two-hour guided tour. We will return by the same route by car and then take our train to Ollantaytambo, where our vehicle will be waiting to transfer us to Cusco. We will rest in Cusco.

Day 6

Free Day in Cusco

Take a break and explore the city at your own pace. Relax, walk through its streets, enjoy the local cuisine, or visit new places on your own.

Day 7

Rainbow Mountain by Bike

Very early in the morning, our vehicle will pick you up and transfer you to the base of Rainbow Mountain. From this point, we will hike up to the summit, where you will be able to take stunning panoramic photos. On the way back, our team will have the bikes ready so we can descend through mountains and beautiful landscapes until we reach the community of Pitumarca. We will have lunch along the way and continue to Pacchanta. At night, we will enjoy its hot springs while admiring the stars. We will spend the night in Pacchanta.

Day 8

Ausangate and the Seven Lakes by Bike

In the morning, we will get ready to explore the Seven Lakes of Ausangate. We will bike up to 4,700 meters above sea level. At the top, we will see the first two turquoise lakes at the foot of the Ausangate snow-capped mountain. Then, we will descend through the remaining lakes, making several stops to admire the magical landscapes. We will descend until we reach the community of Pacchanta. At night, we will have our farewell dinner in Cusco, where we will say goodbye and share our experience with the entire team.

Day 9

Transfer to the Airport

Depending on your flight schedule, we will transfer you to the Cusco airport for your return.
