Itinerary

Day 1

Welcome to Cusco

Our team will welcome you to Cusco and transfer you to your hotel. In the evening, our staff will provide you with the necessary information about the upcoming days of your tour.

Day 2

Maras, Moray, and Raqchi Enduro

At 8:00 a.m., we will transfer you to your hotel in the Sacred Valley and assist with bike assembly, followed by a safety briefing. After lunch, we will begin the first trail in Maras Clásico, starting from Cerro Sacro to enjoy a descent with ramps, valley views, and a ride through the Salt Mines, where a brief historical explanation will be given. Finally, we will arrive at the community of Pichingoto, cross the Vilcanota River, and our vehicle will take us to the hotel in Urubamba to rest.

Day 3

Lares Ancasmarca

After breakfast, we will ascend to the Lares mountain pass to begin a descent with an optional freeride section and continue along a flowing trail with technical sections, crossing a canyon, Andean communities, and natural landscapes until we reach Totora, where we will rest and enjoy our box lunch. Later, we will visit the Ancasmarca archaeological site to ride a circuit with Inca steps, a queuña forest, technical turns, and moderate descents, ending the day in Calca.

Day 4

Inkavalanche and Pumamarca

At 9:00 a.m., we will depart for Abra Málaga, enjoying views of the La Verónica snow-capped mountain along the way. From there, we will begin the Inkavalanche descent, riding through wet and rocky areas, warm forest, and easy ramps until we reach Pirhi, where we will have our box lunch. Then, we will visit Pumamarca to begin a second route among agricultural terraces and technical trails with rocks and flowing sections, ending the adventure in Ollantaytambo.

Day 5

Machu Picchu

Early in the morning, we will depart from Aguas Calientes by bus to Machu Picchu. We will enjoy an approximately 2-hour guided tour of the citadel, exploring its natural surroundings, architecture, and history. Then, you will have free time for lunch and to explore Aguas Calientes before returning by train to Ollantaytambo and continuing by bus to your hotel in Cusco.

Day 6

Cusco Enduro

The tour begins at 8:30 a.m. with pickup from the hotel and transfer to the southern area of Cusco. The day includes two descents from the Ocoruro and Corao mountain passes, riding technical trails with mountains, stairs, turns, vertical sections, and ramps until reaching Yunkaypata. Finally, we will end the enduro experience in the southern area of Cusco and return to the hotel.

Day 7

Transfer to the Airport

On this final day, we will transfer you to the airport according to your flight departure time, bringing our services to an end.

 Verificada Amazing Maras-Moray tour on MTB! We absolutely loved our one-day MTB tour of Maras Moray. Not only did we get to explore the two sites, we also got to ride through breathtaking fields, hillsides and villages. We were accompanied by two excellent guides and were impressed by their knowledge of the area and their ability to adapt the tour to our group which had various levels of riders.  Verificada Magestic views, fun descents I was in Peru with my family—traveling the world for a year. We are avid riders from Vancouver Island British Columbia. I decided to go on 3 rides—each separated by a couple of days. Erick was a great guide and took me down some flowy descents with wide open vistas, a few sections of tech, just enough to keep one interested! Jump options on the Cusco rides, a couple little drops, perfect for someone who rides blacks and double blacks at home but wants to keep it safe while experiencing the wonder of the sacred valley. I rode a hightower which was perfect for me. The van picked me up and dropped me right from home. Even the shuttles up bring unreal views. A bit wet this time of year but the dirt is perfect for traction and you can open it up, and the lands are so lush and green.

From landing at Cusco airport until our departure, the trio Erick, Miguel and Johan provided us with incredible and very friendly service. Always attentive and ready to make changes according to your needs, the weather or even fatigue. They adapt to all situations, even the most complex. The equipment is of very good quality. They can repair any broken bike and allow you to continue enjoying your vacation. They are also excellent tour guides, which allows you to visit Peru while having fun on the trails. If you are looking to visit Peru in a less conventional way, you will not be disappointed with Explorinka. It is not just a business, but passionate peoples.  Verificada The best Mountain Biking trip in the Andes I had an amazing experience with Explorinka. We did 14 days with my brother and a group of friends and Erick was helping us create the trip that fits exactly with our skills and what we wanted to do. To say the least, the guides are lovely and sooo knowledgeable! We had a bunch of mechanicals during the trip and my god, I have never seen anyone being able to repair a wheel that well on a trail. They take care of literally everything, hooked us up with some extremely nice hotels, provided super high end bikes very well maintained and they made sure the trip was just a blast from the moment they picked us up at the airport to the last restaurant with more than a few nice surprises! So if you are looking for an awesome group of guides to go mountain biking in the jaw dropping Andes, look no further.  Verificada Memorable ride around Cusco I did a solo ride with Eric to the mountains surrounding Cusco and I have to say it was a memorable experience and a great opportunity to explore the highlands and farms of Cusco with astounding views. Definitely worth it and an experience I will never forget . I would recommend and would definitely do it again if I happen to return in the area. He is very knowledgeable with the trails and bikes were well maintained and excellent . You will be suited with trails according to your skills and ability. The ceviche reward at the end of the ride was a bonus and well deserved. Bravo!

The program has Santa Cruz Hightower bikes available for the experience, depending on the option booked and availability. If you request an electric bike, an additional supplement of US$ 200 applies to the total program price. We recommend confirming the type of bike when making your reservation.

The tour combines intermediate and advanced routes, with enduro trails, technical descents, tight turns, rocky sections, ramps, high-altitude stretches, and mountain paths. It is recommended for riders with previous mountain biking or technical downhill experience.

This is not the most recommended tour for complete beginners. The package is designed for people who already have mountain biking experience and feel comfortable with descents, technical terrain, high-altitude routes, and multi-day riding. If you have doubts about your level, you can check with our team before booking.

The maximum altitude indicated in the program is reached during the Lares route, at approximately 4,400 m.a.s.l.. For this reason, it is important to arrive in good physical condition, stay well hydrated, and follow the guide’s recommendations throughout the tour days.

Distances vary depending on each day’s trail. The program includes routes such as Maras, Moray, and Raqchi, Lares, Ancasmarca, Inkavalanche, Pumamarca, El Brujo, and Yunkaypata, with approximate distances ranging from 5 km to 15.2 km. Some days combine more than one descent.
