To start our great day of enduro, our team will pick you up from your hotel at 7:00 am, we will have ready the bikes and protective equipment in our mobility. We will drive to the Yanamayo pass at 4300 meters above sea level, we will pass through the heights of the sacred valley and the town of Ollantaytambo before arriving at our destination. After 2 hours by car, our guide will give us a safety talk before we get on our bikes.
Once ready, we will start descending through the Patacancha valley, there are several lines to choose from, however, consider following the guide because he will take you through the best option. The terrain is not very rugged, on the contrary, it motivates you to release the brake and flow freely. We will descend to the community of Patacancha, in this town we will take the opportunity to taste the Andean food, the villagers dressed in their typical clothes will give us some of their food, we will take the opportunity to rest a little and eat our box lunch.
After our experience in Patacancha we will continue descending through small cuts between the road cars until we reach the village of Willoq. In this place we will load the bicycles to the car and we will have as destination the archaeological center of Pumamarca. If we have time and want to visit the place we will have 30 minutes to walk around Pumamarca. We will get the bicycles ready and descend through the valley of Ollantaytambo, crossing extensive Andean terraces, bordering the mountain, enjoying a sunset towards the town of Ollantaytambo. We will cross the ancient streets of Ollantaytambo with Inca infrastructure preserved to this day. Our mobility will be waiting in the square with cold beers to celebrate our day of cycling. At the end of the day we will transfer you to your hotel.
