Early in the morning we will head towards the valley south of Cusco, towards the famous radar. This incredible day begins with spectacular views of Ausangate, the 5th highest Apu in Peru. As we prepare for the start, our guide will give a safety briefing and check that everything is ready for the adventure. Our descent takes us south on a long, narrow single track to the Vilcanota River. This trail has different floors, such as gravel and loose rock with changing curves for those riders who like excitement. The trail will take us through potato, quinoa and wheat fields, hopefully we will be able to see local people working in their fields. The trail is a path of the villagers, so we will be cautious on the descent and give way to local farmers and shepherds. At the end of the descent we will continue along the side of a long water channel that will take us back to the south valley, towards the town of Andahuaylillas.
